How it works: How the rat funnel prevents entry

Rats often enter buildings through the sewer system and can also move upward through vertical drainpipes. They use debris and pipe walls to work their way up bit by bit. The rat funnel uses a simple yet effective principle: A targeted increase in pipe diameter prevents the animals from gaining a foothold on the pipe walls. Without a foothold, climbing is no longer possible. Since the system operates entirely without mechanical flaps, there is no risk of clogging. Operation is consistently safe and trouble-free.

Installation and Assembly

Installation is straightforward in existing or new sewer lines:

• Remove a pipe section approximately 600 mm long from the downspout (usually in the basement)
• Insert the rat trap into the Opening
• It is secured using clamps or double sockets
• An inspection flap can be added as an option

Important: Installation must take place in a vertical downpipe to ensure the system functions correctly.

Variants: Symmetrical and asymmetrical

Depending on the structural situation, two variants are available:

Symmetrical rat trap

• Ideal for downspouts mounted directly on the wall
• Installation without additional elbows or chiseling
