CARBONIT® filter cartridges combine water filtration and improved taste of the water. For the production, a special EM-ceramic is added to the activated carbon in the process of sintering. Among other things, this ceramic causes a reduction in the surface tension of the water and the reduction of cluster structures. Thus, the taste of the water is described by most people as softer or rounder.
Together with the proven filter performance of the CARBONIT® NFP Premium filter technology, the result is an ideal water filtration. Activated carbon has a large surface, which is used as an adsorbent, for example in chemistry, medicine and water- and wastewater treatment. The sintered activated carbon block filter based on coconut focusses the chemical-physical removal of unwanted ingredients in drinking water e.g. caused by the influences of the house installation.
Service life: The filter cartridge must be replaced after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). Basically, within the 6 months 10,000 liters of water may be filtered. An earlier change may, however, be necessary if the water flow is noticeably reduced. An early change is not a defect of the filter used, but an indication of increased occurrence of fine particles in unfiltered water.

The Tritan bottles are made from the copolyester Tritan ™. This plastic (triphenylmethane) is tasteless and odorless. Tritan is very light and stable and therefore very suitable for drinking bottles. This plastic is free of bisphenol A (BPA), which is increasingly being rejected by many consumers.Use: The Tritan bottles are made for non-carbonated drinks. The bottles remain up to an internal pressure of max. 2 bar stable. The lifetime of the bottles depends on the type of use and the way of bottle cleaning. Empty and clean the bottles after use and protect them from direct sunlight during storage.The bottles can be cleaned about 80 times in normal household dishwashers (depending on the rinse cycle and cleaning agent use). Information on the system "chemical-free limescale protection":
Kalko Innova uses ceramic granules with a specially coded surface to initiate the process of heterogeneous catalysis. A similar process can be observed in nature with shells and corals. The tap water flows around the Kalko Innova granules. On the granule surface, small seed crystals of a few ten-thousandths of a millimeter form automatically and within seconds. These dissolve immediately to make room for more crystals. The floating in the water seed crystals are carried by the water in all lines and connected equipment. They catch the lime and thus no longer adhere to the treated water. The water is not changed in its chemical composition. A renovation of old installations and boilers is possible in a few months, as existing calcifications are slowly replaced and carried along in a gentle process.
Chemical-free limescale protection is a recognized biotechnology. Since 2009, the EU standard EN 1988-20 para. 12.7 (Technical Rules for Drinking Water Installations) stipulates that scale protection devices with seed crystallization are approved for drinking water installations and that they conform to the state of the art. Methods based on seed crystallization meet the requirements of the "General Rules of Technology".
