The decalcifying cartridge improves the taste of cold and hot drinks (especially to improve the aroma of coffee and tea) and protects household appliances against calcification. The flowed through ion exchange resin, reduces the hardness of the water.The cartridge fits into the table top filter units "Mercuro" and "Jupitos" as well as the sub-filter housings of the “Vario HP” and “Pure"series. This cartridge is also compatible with all Alvito water filter systems. Use: The water flow should not exceed about 2 l / min., so that a noticeable decalcification is guaranteed. The possible duration of use depends on the degree of hardness of the input water. Depending on the raw water hardness up to 1.900 l (degree of hardness 5-10 dh) or 450 l (degree of hardness 11-25 dh) can be achieved as static quantity. This flange is suitable for DRUFI +, IT 3000, IT 4000, LEX Connect individual softening systems 10 to 30, Safe-T and Safe-T Connect as well as other SYR articles. The housing parts are made of impact-resistant thermoplastic, the rubber parts are made of age-resistant, hard-wearing elastomers. A low-lead, dezincification-resistant brass alloy and stainless steel are used for all other functional parts. The materials used correspond to the recognized rules of technology. The plastic parts and elastomers that come into contact with water correspond to the KTW guideline of the Federal Environment Agency. Installation Installation is carried out by your installer. Commissioning is designed to be extremely simple. A bypass and blending valve, as well as hoses and an overall hardness test set are included in the scope of delivery. Installation location The softening system is installed centrally behind the water meter system. In order to avoid malfunctions, the water softener is effectively protected by connecting a drinking water filter (e.g. Drufi system). A pressure reducer must be connected upstream from a pressure of 5 bar. The water to be softened must be clear, free of solid impurities and free of iron and manganese (values ??within the scope of the TWVO). Installation, maintenance & commissioning Since the water softener works automatically, salt only needs to be topped up regularly. According to DIN EN 806, Part 5, maintenance must be carried out at least once a year, and maintenance for communal systems every six months. Some tips from our side: Please clean the salt container from incrustations at regular intervals and only use high-quality salt. According to the Drinking Water Ordinance, regeneration salt in Germany must meet the purity requirements of: DIN EN 973 Table 1 / Type A / Table 3. Warranty and guarantee If DIN EN 806, Part 5 is observed and installation is carried out by a specialist plumbing company, the guarantee and warranty on the system is 24 months. Universal flange DN 25 from SYR If you do not yet have a suitable flange for the system, you will need this component to connect your SYR LEX PLUS 10 Connect soft water system. This flange is suitable for DRUFI +, IT 3000, IT 4000, LEX Connect individual softening systems 10 to 30, Safe-T and Safe-T Connect as well as other SYR articles. The housing is made of pressed brass and has screw connections on both sides. The installation position can be designed as desired. Replacement filter cartridge suitable for 10-inch housing of the Kalko Innova and Aqua Fidelo house and well filter housing as well as the Kalko Innova lime protection device KI-24 W & AK-24 W. The flowed through catalyst granules works according to the seed crystal principle. In the process, precipitating lime is bound to the seed crystals and floats away in the water. The procedure serves to protect the line and devices. Limescale deposits are easier to remove after use but lime removal does not take place. Use: The water flow should not exceed approx. 24 l / min. be. When used with water in drinking water quality without coarse sediments, the catalyst granules holds about 1 year.
