They use debris and pipe walls to work their way up bit by bit. The rat funnel uses a simple yet effective principle: A targeted increase in pipe diameter prevents the animals from gaining a foothold on the pipe walls. Without a foothold, climbing is no longer possible. Since the system operates entirely without mechanical flaps, there is no risk of clogging. Operation is consistently safe and trouble-free.
