UV system PURE SE 1.2 / 2.1 50 watt with energy saving automatic

The energy-saving UV water treatment unit Pure SE 1.2 / 2.1 50 W from the manufacturer UST is used to inactivate germs such as bacteria and viruses. It is completely manufactured in Germany and is made of highly polished stainless steel, this also applies to the connections. Therefore, the manufacturer gives a warranty of 10 years on the reactor! With connections and reactors made of plastic, the aggressive UV radiation dissolves out plastic particles over time, the components dry out and break.

What is UV water treatment?
With UV or UVC irradiation, pathogenic bacteria or viruses can be inactivated. Thus they are no longer harmful to health! The treatment at a wavelength of 254nm guarantees a fast, effective and safe disinfection. This process is economical and has been used worldwide for many years. By UV irradiation, water can be safely sterilized from germs without the use of chlorine. The process is absolutely safe and, of course, the water tastes much better than water treated with chlorine.

Advantages of the UV disinfection system

• An additional pulse generator is installed, which measures the water flow through the system, as well as an additional board, exclusively developed for UST, which reduces the lamp power by 40%.
• UV lamps (low pressure lamps) are not suitable for frequent on/off switching. UV systems are therefore usually used in continuous operation, although the actual disinfection is needed only for a short time.
• The power of UV lamps, however, can be reduced without the lamps switching off.
• The PURE SE models automatically reduce lamp output by 40% if no water flows through the system for one minute. As soon as water flows again, the system is immediately back to full power.

Technical information
Due to the three available connections, you can choose to install from one side or the other. The connection that is not needed is closed. The disinfection capacity of 2400 l/h is achieved with a very moderate power consumption of 50 watts. Please note that the water to be treated must be at least 95% clear for this (*SSK< 95%), so a good pre-filtration is absolutely necessary! Maintenance
Exchange of the UV lamp every 12 months or max 9000 hours. The lamp can be easily loosened by screws and then pulled out to replace.
