WatPass® RO24000 reverse osmosis system (1000l/h)

Industrial reverse osmosis systems are used where industrial waste water from car washes, medical facilities, laboratories and other facilities is to be purified on site. WatPass® reverse osmosis systems are available in various sizes and designs to optimally match the volume of water to be purified.

How does a reverse osmosis system work?

The operating principle of an osmosis system is that two solutions with different particle concentrations that are separated by a semi-permeable membrane generate osmotic pressure. This happens because both solutions endeavour to equalise their particle concentration. In nature, this osmosis principle is vital within cells, as this is the only way to equalise the internal cell pressure and regulate the water balance within each cell. In the reverse osmosis system, the principle is practically reversed by increasing the pressure on one of the liquids. This forces the water in the reverse osmosis system through the multi-layer reverse osmosis membrane. This contains many small pores and is therefore also known as a semi-permeable membrane. As a result, almost all undesirable components such as limescale, pollutants, germs and other impurities are filtered out of the water. The result is pure water (permeate) of drinking water quality.

Commercial reverse osmosis systems are reliable, turnkey solutions for various commercial and residential applications. Water bottling plants, steam boilers, garden centres, restaurants and many other types of businesses benefit from their excellent performance and durability.
