The UV water treatment system Pure 2.1 50W from the manufacturer UST is used to inactivate germs such as bacteria and viruses. It is manufactured entirely in Germany and consists of highly polished stainless steel, this also applies to the connections. The manufacturer therefore gives a 10-year guarantee on the reactor! In the case of connections and reactors made of plastic, the aggressive UV radiation releases plastic particles over time, the components dry out and break.
What is UV water treatment?
Pathogenic bacteria or viruses can be inactivated with UV or UVC radiation. This means that they are no longer harmful to health! The treatment at a wavelength of 254nm ensures fast, effective and safe disinfection. This process is economical and has been used worldwide for many years. UV radiation enables water from germs to be used safely without the use of chlorine. The process is absolutely harmless and of course the water tastes much better than what is treated with chlorine.
Due to the three existing connections, you can choose to install from one side or the other. The connection that is not required is closed. The sterilization capacity of 2400 l/h is achieved with a very low power consumption of 50 watts. Please note that the water to be treated must be at least 95% clear (* SSK <95%), so good pre-filtration is absolutely necessary! Exchange of the UV lamp every 12 months or max 9000 hours. The lamp can be easily loosened by screws and then replaced by pulling it out.
