Product information "Birm - filter granulate for the removal of iron and manganese 1 L"

BIRM® is a specially developed black filter granulate which is coated with manganese dioxide (MnO2) and oxidizes iron and manganese using catalysis and then filters them off. The BIRM® filter material is not exhausted if oxygen is dissolved in the water. The manufacturer states that a content of 15% of the dissolved iron is sufficient (1 mg / l Fe therefore requires 0.15 mg / l O2). This means that BIRM® does not have to be regenerated, just rinsed. BIRM® can also be used to remove manganese at stable pH values ??in the raw water of 8.0 to 8.4. However, the removal of iron at this pH is no longer optimal. BIRM® must not come into contact with strong oxidizing agents such as chlorine or potassium permanganate.

WatPass® IronGo iron removal plant with catalyst granulate 1.3 m 3 /h
Well pump performance: 1.3 m 3 /h
The WatPass IronGo iron removal system oxidizes dissolved iron from your water. NEW - Control head Clack with German menu and colour display. The colour modes of the display make it easier to check the operating conditions (blue = everything is fine). If there is an error (red = malfunction), you can see this at a glance. The German menu makes setting up the system much easier. Nothing has to be changed or refilled. The IronGo is therefore almost maintenance-free. Its performance is outstanding, it can filter up to 5 mg/l iron from the water. The installation is very simple. Even during backwashing, water can easily be removed. At a freely programmable time (approximately every 7 days), the concentrate is automatically disposed of through an outlet. A 3 m long drain hose is supplied and can be replaced by a longer garden hose if necessary. An additionally available mounting block (accessory) serves to bridge the gap, but is not absolutely necessary for operation, although it is highly recommended. This helps to maintain the water supply with untreated water during maintenance work. The system consists of: GFK pressure bottle in different sizes (adapted to the performance), which is filled with high-quality filter material. The catalyst granulate is coated with manganese dioxide (MnO2). Flow-controlled central control valve type Clack WS 1 CI. Functionality of the Katylasor granulate Iron is usually present as bicarbonate in groundwater.  Due to the excess carbonic acid, iron is not filterable. As a catalyst, the filter material causes the transition from soluble Fe2+ to insoluble Fe3+, the resulting oxidation product iron hydroxide is easily filterable. In order to filter iron successfully, a pH value of at least 6.8 (better 7.0) is required, independent of the filter material used. If the pH value of your water is too low, please contact us specifically. This must then be raised by further filter technology in the first step. We then recommend the WatPass pHGO system. Necessary installation conditions: Water connection Socket 230 V / 50 Hz, waste water connection, pressure reducer at > 6 bar Product details: - Flexible space-saving design - Corrosion-resistant GFK pressure cylinder - High-quality filter material - Computer-controlled valve Clack WS 1 CI - quantity control - Extremely low maintenance - Treatment of ferrous water - Reduction of the orange-brown shade in the water Areas of application: Well water, garden irrigation, laundries, industrial water use, Koi and fish ponds and all areas where too high an iron content in the water causes problems. WatPass IronGo is available in different versions depending on the capacity required or the quantity of well water to be treated (the colour of the pressure bottle may vary in some versions). These can be found in the selection menu. Installation service by specialized company: For the area of Central Germany we can arrange a specialized company, where you usually get an appointment within 2-4 weeks. The costs amount to approx. 400.00€ for normal installation situations. The executing company will clarify this with you in advance. We do not get any commission for the mediation! Please simply contact us if this service is interesting for you. In the scope of supply contained (execution depending upon plant size): Connection set 1 inch: 2x armoured hose 1 inch ÜM x 1 inch ÜM, L=1.000 mm; 1x drain hose, L= 2.000mm; 1x hose clamp 1/2 inch; 4x seals; 1x overflow hose, L= 2.000mm Connection set 1 1/4 inch: 2x armoured hose 1 1/4 inch ÜM x 1 1/4 inch ÜM, L=1.000 mm; 1x drain hose, L= 2.000mm; 1x hose clamp 1/2 inch; 1x overflow hose; L=2.000mm; 4x seals Optional and additional: Mounting block 1 inch IG x 1 inch AG with blending, bypass function, sampling tap Note: If the IronGo filter systems are to be used in drinking water applications, they must comply with the "Rules for Drinking Water Installations" according to DIN 1988 -200 in conjunction with DIN EN 1717:2011-08. Then it is necessary to install a pipe isolator to protect the public drinking water network. Transport and costs: The article is delivered by a forwarding agent to avoid transport damage.
