BIGGREEN Limescale Protection (TAC) replacement filter unit

BIGGREEN limescale protection (TAC) replacement filter unit for the patented BIG GREEN ™ combination water filter from the Canadian manufacturer CANPRO. The lime treatment is based on the so-called TAC technology (Template Assisted Crystallization), which requires no salt.

How the BIG GREEN ™ works

After your house water has been pre-filtered, in the BIG GREEN ™ it first flows through the outer filter cartridge (sediment & activated carbon) and then enters the TAC filter. Microscopic seed crystals now form on the surface of the TAC granulate. These crystals envelop the lime dissolved in the water without changing it chemically. As a result of this process, the limescale in pipes and devices no longer adheres so strongly and, in a continuous process, existing limescale deposits in pipes and devices are removed. With the BIG GREEN ™ you can protect your entire piping system as well as large appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers and other hot water devices against limescale deposits without the use of salt.

Maintenance & cartridge change

The device is almost maintenance-free and should only be cleaned every time the filter is changed. The service life of the TAC unit is at least 3 years.
