The combination of two technologies leads to high flow rates with good retention of pollutants and reliable retention of bacteria, viruses and cysts.

Why should one use such a cartridge?

Hospital hygienists document how tap water can be a source of transmission in the case of legionella, pseudomonads and fungi (e.g. aspergillus). Scientific studies by the Institute for Hygiene and Public Health at the University of Bonn show that these stresses can occur not only in hospitals but also in the home. Of course, people with weakened immune systems are primarily at risk here. Filters at the "point of use" can offer protection here. The IFP VS from CARBONIT® is ideal when you need a lot of water in a short time. For example, when many people want to fill up water at the same time in operational situations. Of course, it is also a very good choice if the filter is to be connected directly to the existing tap. This means that there are no impairments if a lot of water is required there.

Innovative technology

The cartridge consists of a CARBONIT Monoblock® (baked block filter, manufactured in the sintering process, multiple awards and scientifically recognized) and an innovative filter fleece. Such a high-quality, high-performance cartridge should not be confused with loose beds of granulated charcoal or extruded blocks. The innovative and special filter fleece made of laminated carbon / cellulose Disrupter®, combined with the activated carbon block, is antimicrobial and therefore offers a plus in safety with regard to germs.

Due to this structure, the external activated carbon block with a fineness of 2.5 µm filters the pollutants and particles dissolved in the water through adsorption. The fleece in the center of the activated carbon reliably holds back bacteria, viruses and cysts using a patented process.

Standards

Internationally patented filter composition made from a sintered activated carbon block with the patented Disruptor fleece. For the filtration of bacteria, viruses and cysts (bacteria (99.9999% or 6 log), viruses (99.99% or 4 log) and cysts (99.95% or 3.5 log)) as well as organic substances.

Service life: The filter cartridge must be changed after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). In principle, 10,000 liters of water can be filtered within the 6 months. However, it may need to be changed earlier if the water flow is noticeably reduced. An early change is not a defect in the filter used, but an indication of the increased occurrence of fine particles in the unfiltered water.

For technical reasons, use is only permitted with cold water, protect against frost. Recommended filter change every 6 months.
