With the optional diffuser, as a second filter stage, loose granules can be used for water softening, nitrate filtration, arsenic adsorption, lime treatment, mineralization and other applications. The big advantage of the diffuser insert, compared to the standard cartridge filled with filter granules, is the better volume utilization of the filter cup. You get almost twice the amount of a suitable filter granules in the housing. This leads to a doubling of the service life, saving you the cartridge housing and you have one change of the resin less. This is a real progress to other undercounter solutions.
